Zurich, October 8, 2025 – YAPEAL extends its sincere thanks to Board Members Werner Vontobel and François Rüf for their strong commitment and valuable contributions to the company’s development. As part of the regular renewal of the Board of Directors, both stepped down from their roles following the General Assembly held on October 3, 2025. Eva Künzi has been newly elected as an independent member of the Board.
Werner Vontobel, who served as Chairman of the Board until March of this year and subsequently as a member, has significantly shaped the company over several years and played a key role in establishing YAPEAL’s governance and compliance structures. Following his departure, YAPEAL is ensuring a seamless continuation in these areas: Eva Künzi, newly elected, brings extensive experience in legal, regulatory, and compliance matters and joins the Board as an independent member.
François Rüf, for his part, has supported and accompanied the company over several years with his technical expertise and entrepreneurial mindset. With Stephan Murer, former CTO of UBS, and Christoph Burkhard, an experienced software entrepreneur, the Board continues to have strong technical competence represented at its core.
